All the London railway stations :
Underground lines : District, C2C
Upminster Station front entrance - in July 2019
Lots of taxis immediately outside, and a good bus service at this station
AccessAble Access Guide :
Accessibility friendly : (National Rail) (A step 193-277mm / gap 17-43mm).
Lift access between street and platform, including National Rail services.
General description : Upminster is at the start of the District line. If this station is to be used, a better preference is the C2C British Rail line which is a high speed service that connects with Barking, West Ham and finally Fenchurch Street. West Ham is one of the many excellent routes into London.
There are lifts to all platforms, except the Emerson Park, and Romford connection.
Upminster Lift to Platform 1 & 1a - the C2C to London - July 2019
There is also a short line, via Emerson Park (platform 6) to Romford British Rail, but this is not step free.
More comment : The station does have several lifts to platforms 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5. There are ramps available at a designated point onto the C2C, and assistance may be required to alight the C2C trains, as there is quite a large gap.
Upminster recommended alighting point for lift access to C2C
Wheelchair parking space at Upminster station
There are two of these, use the one closest to th ntrance, as not all trains are long enough.
There is also a side entrance onto platform 1, but this entrance closes in the evenings. The car park has nine disabled parking spaces, and 540 parking spaces in total.
See above too.
